Johnny Depp demands freedom for West Memphis Three

They have come to be known as the West Memphis Three, convicted of murdering three eight-year-old boys in 1993 in West Memphis, Arkansas.

Doubts have been raised as to their guilt and many people including celebrities such as rockers Henry Rollins, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam,  country band Dixie Chicks member Natalie Maines, and actor Johnny Depp have declared their support for the three convicts.

Depp said recently while demanding that they be released:  “I’m here because I firmly, truly, 1000 percent believe that Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelley are totally innocent.”
