Cain Velasquez KOs Minotauro Nogueira in first round of UFC 110

Showing off the power and boxing skills that have now given him an 8-0 win record, seven by knockout, Cain Velasquez gave Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira his first knockout loss.

In just 2:20 of round one, Velasquez landed blows to the chin and the temple of Nogueira and followed up with five punches to the head after Nogueira fell to the ground.

Referee Herb Dean stepped in to stop the fight when Nogueira was unable to defend himself.

Velasquez is now 8-0 with only one victory by decision. Nogueira fell to a 40-6-1 win-loss-draw record with one No Contest.

Another Brazilian, Wanderlei Silva, had better luck in UFC 110, winning by a slim 29-28 unanimous decision over Michael Bisping.
