Pacquiao still targeting Mayweather

WBO champion Manny Pacquiao is still hoping for a big fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2010.

Pacquiao told reporters that he believes the fight will take place at another time. The fight was close to a deal a few weeks ago but a dispute over random drug testing scuttled the fight plans.

Despite wanting the mega-fight to push through, the Filipino champion is all upset that Mayweather alleged that he was using performance enhancing drugs. He did not minced words in saying that Mayweather’s recent drug-testing demands have cast him in a bad light.

Pacquiao said: “I want to clear my name because I’m a very honest person. I’m very disappointed for what he accused me of. I’m clean. I’m not cheating. I’m a very honest fighter.”

Following the breakdown in talks with the Mayweather group, Pacquiao is now set to fight Ghana’s Joshua Clottey in Dallas on March 13.

    If Mosley take the 14 days period blood test then Manny Pacquiao should do the same as simple as that. And the rest of any fighter should also do the same.

    Then Olympic Test should be standard in boxing and throw away the NSAC.

    I just noticed on Boxing24.com that if you’re a Pacquiao fan and making comments against Mayweather, they blocked your comments. I think all Pacquiao fan should ignore or boycott that website. Boxing24.com sucks then they’re not fair to everybody or maybe the management of that website doesn’t know what’s going on.
